So long, Guitar Hero! After six years of bringing the World of Musical Video Games to The Living Rooms of Average Joes and Janes, Guitar Hero was formally axed by its publishers on Wednesday . Activision Blizzard — which also created World Of Warcraft, Call Of Dut — is halting production on the popular music game, along with approximately 500 people from it’s global workforce of 7,000.

Billy Corgan, frontman of the Grammy-winning rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, is recovering this afternoon after the rocker blacked out and collapsed onstage during a concert in Tampa, Florida this week. The frightening fall came Wednesday evening, as Corgan performed the band’s hit “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.” Despite his tumble, the resilient Corgan — romantically-linked to Jessica Simpson and Tila Tequila — came to just moments later and insisted continuing with his set, belting out 11 more songs. “For those that saw me fall last night … that wasn’t a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out,” Corgan, 43, Tweeted Thursday
