Celine Dion Had Been Expecting Triplets

New mom Celine Dion was initially pregnant with triplets.

Dion and hubby Rene Agnelli are getting used to life with new sons Eddy and Nelson after months of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. The twins were born in a Florida medical center last week, but the new additions comes with a bittersweet reminder for their parents.

In an emotional interview with French-Canadian television network Canoe, recorded before the twins’ birth, the singing superstar, 42, tearfully recalls how she was initially pregnant with three babies but just five days after doctors delivered the news, the third baby’s heart stopped beating.

“He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow,” Celine says through tears.
